Our badger vaccination service is offered as a tool to help tackle the currently unsustainably high level of bovine tuberculosis in the UK by targeting the main wildlife reservoir of the disease. We operate on a nationwide basis having bases in Gloucestershire, Devon and Shropshire and are fully insured.
Our team are highly skilled, experienced and fully qualified badger vaccinators. We have vaccinated hundreds of badgers since 2010, when the BCG vaccine for badgers was first licensed for use in the field. Our team have over 20 years combined experience surveying and trapping badgers. As we are badger specialists, we work with varying badger population densities in diverse habitat types, on a day to day basis throughout the year.
Environmental and Conservation Biology BSc degrees and current Masters by Research in Wildlife Disease Management, ensures our team is suitably qualified to advise and implement measures to tackle the disease problem in badger populations.
The diversity of our team, originating from farming and conservation backgrounds, allows Brock Vaccination to fully appreciate and identify the needs of various clients, allowing a bespoke badger vaccination programme, tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
